Solan, Ludvig and Reodor are back. It's approaching Christmas and Flåklypa Times editor Frimand Pløsen promised the village there would be snow. When Ludvig wishes for the same, inventor Reodor Felgen is persuaded to build the world's most powerful snow machine. But then Reodor disappears, and then the snow machine disappears and then Solan and Ludvig have to fix Christmas by themselves. If they manage it, having saved Flåklypa from the world's worst blizzard. Because to tamper with nature ... that's dangerous indeed.

Kjell Aukrust popular characters Solan, Ludvig and Redor are soon back on the big screen. "Solan and Ludvig - Christmas in Flåklypa" is a stop-motion puppet animation film. The film is based on the book "Solan and Ludvig's Christmas" by Harald Sommerin Simonnæs, and based on characters from Kjell Aukrust universe.

Rasmus A. Sivertsen directs. He's currently Norway's the most producing animation director. He is responsible for, among others, "Pelle Politibil går i vannet" and "Kurt blir grusom". Next year he'll release "Pelle Politibil på sporet" in addition to "Solan og Ludvig - Christmas in Flåklypa".

The production company Maipo Film by producer Cornelia Boysen is behind the project, in close cooperation with Qvisten Animation and the Kari and Kjell Aukrust Foundation. Together they returned to Aukrust's original drawings of Solan, Ludvig, Redor Felgen and the Flåklypa universe, and they are now making a full-length puppet film for the whole family based on this material.
